FIELD: physics, acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to apparatus for monitoring underwater medium. In the first version of the device, apparatus for processing reflected signals is mounted on a surface ship. Explosive sound sources (ESS) are mounted in the required number on the rocket head which is a container fitted with a control device, a separation mechanism, a parachute, a splash-down sensor, a mechanism for opening the container, a gas generator, a float, a wireline and a power supply. The ship is fitted with devices for controlling shooting the rocket projectile with the explosive sound source, storage for the said rocket projectile and a launching installation. The ship-borne apparatus for processing reflected signals includes a hydroacoustic signal reception device and computing mechanisms with a screen for visual display of the underwater medium. In the second version of the device, the ship-borne apparatus is fitted with a remote control system comprising a control console, a radio transmitter and an antenna. The antenna and the receiver of the remote control system are placed in the container of the rocket projectile.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables a surface ship to effectively monitor the underwater environment without disclosing its location through an explosive sound source delivered to a precalculated point using a rocket engine.
