FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic-induction flow sensor for measuring flow of a medium in an existing pipeline system has a housing integrated with a measurement pipe which is connected to the pipeline system through two connection elements (21) from an insulator. Each connection element (21) has an earthing pin electrode (27) which rests inside (31) the connection element (21) through which medium flows during operation, and is fitted with a flange (25) at the end for mounting the connection element (21) on the surrounding end of the measurement pipe of the counter-flange (23) of the housing of the sensor. The electrode (27) is connected to apparatus for connecting the flange (25) and the counter-flange (23) through an electrically conducting connection in form of a connection element (39).
EFFECT: invention prevents electrochemical corrosion of measuring electrodes of the sensor due to effective equalisation of potential between the sensor and the medium.
