FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves installation of a standard accelerometre on a vibrating table together with the test accelerometre and measurement of the difference between output signals of the accelerometres which is minimised by regulating amplitude of the signal of the test accelerometre and then filtered. Nonlinearity of the output characteristic of the test accelerometre is determined by ratio of the root-mean-square value of the voltage of the filtered signal to the root-mean-square value of the voltage of the standard accelerometre.
EFFECT: wider range of measuring nonlinearity on a vibrating table.
