FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lengthwise rolling mills, particularly to process gauge tool of reducing rolling mill. Proposed tool comprises several reducing forming gauges and finishing gauges. Note here that forming gauges are arranged to act on billet provided the centers of rigidity of rolled sections are located on one straight line when billets move from one stand to the following one. Said straight line is aligned with tolling axis. Cross section of forming rollers of gauges intended for forming each of the section rectilinear parts represents a radius. Note here that the radius of cross section recess arc radius in forming rollers of every next gauge increases with bend angle equal to 15-20° and can approximate to rectilinear shape of section part without missing of rectilinear sections of finished product section.
EFFECT: possibility to control metal mode of deformation in terms of metal state, strain intensity, tool operating conditions, as well as simplified design, ease of fabrication, higher quality and lower power consumption.
