FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: upon blowing out air from annealing chamber with purge gas metal is heated in annealing chamber in protective gas to specified temperature of treatment. Also protective gas is transported via the annealing chamber in different volumes depending on amount of collected impurities. Notably, protective gas removed from the annealing chamber after main collection of impurities and contaminated with residual amount of impurities is transported, if necessary, to the annealing chamber after temporary storage during main collection of impurities of the next batch before pure protective gas is supplied to the annealing chamber.
EFFECT: reduced amount of protective gas at heat treatment of batches of annealed metal.
