FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: support consists of end-thrust bearing on one end of rotor and of magnet system generating alternating magnetic field periodically changing in space, for example on base of circular permanent multi-pole magnet with periodic alternating magnetisation on one end, while on another end - system of rotor or stator containing element of high electric conductivity including super-conductivity or high temperature super-conductivity. Generating magnet surface facing an element is inclined to a lower end of the magnet at acute angle (0°<α<90°) required for direction of unloading force of end-thrust bearing upward or to an upper end of the magnet required for directing unloading force of the end-thrust bearing downward. Generating surface of the element is parallel to generating surface of the magnet and is inclined to vertical axis of the rotor at angle (90°- α). Angle of magnet generatrix incline (α) is determined with a required degree of end-thrust bearing unloading.
EFFECT: essentially reduced load on end-thrust bearing in dynamics to any required degree of unloading of end-thrust bearing up to rotor levitation, damping all types of rotor vibrations including those oriented to axial vibrations, high radial rigidity in dynamics, simplicity of design and suitability to batch production, increased reliability and service life of item.
