FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to plastic working, in particular to presses for forging in stamps heated up to working temperature, preferably for isothermic forging. Press comprises two stamps arranged between two support elements for stamps, and heat insulating facility. Specified facility is located between each of stamps and its support element. Facility comprises at least two layers arranged one over another (A, B). The first layer (A) is arranged on the side of stamp and is made of the first material. Mechanical and thermal properties of this material correspond to operation at temperature, which is higher than working temperature of stamp. The second layer (B) is arranged on the side of support element and is made of the second material. Mechanical and thermal properties of the second material correspond to operation at temperature, which is lower than working temperature of stamp. Heat conductivity of the second material is lower than heat conductivity of the first material and is approximately equal to 0.2 W/m · K, with deviation of this value within the range of 10%.
EFFECT: invention provides for expansion of press technological capabilities due to reduced thickness of heat insulating facility.
