FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel contains the following components: 0.26-0.55 wt % of carbon or 0.25-1 wt % as sum of carbon, nitrogen and boron, <2 wt % of chrome; up to 10 wt % of molybdenum; up to 15 wt % of tungsten; at that, content of tungsten and molybdenum is 1.8 - 15 wt % in total; carbide-forming elements - titanium, zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum at content of 0 to 3 wt % separately or in total; 0-4 wt % of vanadium; 0-6 wt % of cobalt; 0-1.6 wt % of silicon; 0-2 wt % of manganese; 0-2.99 wt % of nickel; 0-1 wt % of sulphur; iron and inevitable impurities are the rest; at that, steel has thermal conductivity at room temperature of more than 42 W/m.K.
EFFECT: instrument steel for hot types of treatment has higher thermal conductivity in comparison to known instrument steels.
