FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of massive wood bending technology and may be used in production of curvilinear elements from massive wood in pieces of furniture, parts of staircases, arc structures, etc. Method for bending of massive wood includes preliminary plasticisation and further stabilisation of given shape. The novelty is the fact that for plasticisation purpose wood is used with moisture 10-12%, stocks are plasticised with the help of microwave energy, bending is carried out at the temperature of 140°C and moisture at the moment of bending of 8-9%.
EFFECT: high-quality and efficient bending of wood with high efficiency of the process.
