FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining liquid flow rate in the well involves recording of thermal flowmetre curve in the operating well with its further matching with calibrating characteristic obtained on the model. Measurement is made along the bore in the operating well by means of thermal flowmetre in flow direction with positive acceleration if ΔT/Δv is more than zero at the initial section of recorded thermal flowmetre curve, and measurement is made till bell-shaped dependence T=f(v) is obtained. Then there made is measurement with thermal flowmetre in flow direction with negative acceleration till bell-shaped dependence T=f(v) is obtained. As per these dependences the apparent velocities va and vB are determined, which correspond to maximum value of the appropriate dependence T=f(v), actual flow velocity is determined as per dependence v =(va + vB)/2. Version of the method implementation is possible by making the measurement along the bore in operating well with thermal flowmetre in flow direction with negative acceleration if ΔT/Δv is less than zero at the initial recording section of thermal flowmetre curve. Measurement is made till bell-shaped dependence T=f(v) is obtained. Then there made is measurement with thermal flowmetre in flow direction with positive acceleration till bell-shaped dependence T=f(v) is obtained. As per these dependences there determined are apparent velocities vB and vC which correspond to maximum value of the appropriate dependence T=f(v). Actual flow velocity is determined as per dependence v =(vB + vC)/2.

EFFECT: improving accuracy of determining liquid flow velocity.
