CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION, VARIATOR, LIMITER OF GEAR RATIO RANGE AND SATELLITE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC F16H15/50 F16H37/08

Abstract RU 2399814 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: continuously variable transmission consists of input (3) and output (26) shafts, of planetary multi-plate friction variator, of reverse mechanism and of controlled limiter of gear ratio range. The variator consists of epicycle installed in a case and made as a package of plates (1) set in pairs with internal touch, of a package of solar (2) set in pairs with external touch, of a carrier connected to the output shaft of the variator and including two plates coupled with the plates of the axle whereon there are arranged satellites in form of intermediary plates. Solar plates (2) are positioned on the output shaft of the variator connected with the input shaft of the reverse mechanism. Carrier plates have shaped slots corresponding to number of satellites axes; while axes of satellites are coupled with shaped slots and are designed to change their position; the intermediary plates interact with solar plates and plates of epicycle. Each of solar plate and epicycle plates has a cross section of a shape chosen from a row: Z-shape, non-equilateral angle, T-shape, double-T-shape and U-shape. The satellites are of a double-convex lens shape. The reverse mechanism consists of a multi-flow speeder and reverse-reducer with common intermediate shafts. The limiter of gear ration range is made as a circular element with internal conic surface installed in the case performing axial travels and interacting with rollers joined with balancers.

EFFECT: reduced weight and dimension, increased service life and lowered requirements to materials of transmission and its components.
