FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises hardware to register electric signal in time and components interrupting said signal when automobile enters and leaves road test section. Said components represent isolated always broken electric contacts pressed against each other by spring and fitted on the end of bracket mounted on automobile. Automobile runs, said contacts open on touching vertical posts mounted at the start and end of road test section to interrupt electric circuit made up of DC source and device to register voltage in time. Software for ADC allows recording input voltage in time. Interval between abrupt voltage drops on monitor screen means interval between contacts breaking moments, hence, the time of test section coverage.

EFFECT: possibility to determine automobile speed by known procedure.
