FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises measuring car travel on test bench drums during preset time interval set by computer ADC. Note here that said travel is determined as product of test bench drum radius by number of electric pulses calculated by computer program in data file processing, and by angle between circuit breaker cams. Said file includes discrete values of time and voltage varying in one of ADC channels in breaking metre electric circuit. Car speed measuring device comprises computer with ADC, DC source and mechanical circuit breaker with contacts. One of said contacts is secured to stationary base while another one is pivoted to fixed bracket. Note here that said contacts are isolated by elastic dampers and pressed against each other as well as bracket end roller to said dampers by adjusted-force spring. Said contacts are broken by cams of rotor fitted on axle shared with test bench drum.
EFFECT: speed measurement without pre-calibration.
