FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device has on its optical axis an objective lens, an image modulator mounted in the focal plane of the objective lens, an integrating photodetector and a unit for generating and picking up the spectrum of the rough surface image. In front of the focal plane of the said objective lens there is a movable prism for rotating the image. The image modulator is in form of a rotating standard disc on whose perimetre a standard periodic structure is deposited in form of a multi-turn spiral with varying frequency. The standard disc has a mark for synchronising movement of the prism with rotation of the modulator. An analysis window is fitted in front of the integrating photodetector such within its boundaries the transmission coefficient of the standard periodic structure has periodic distribution with constant spatial frequency. The integrating photodetector is connected to an automatic gain control (AGC) unit and a computer fitted with an analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) functions as a unit for generating and picking up the spectrum of the rough surface image.

EFFECT: design of an optical spectral processing device which enables to obtain a two-dimensional spectrum of a water surface image in real time.
