FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: pulsed elastic (acoustic) wave of given duration with high-frequency filling is passed through a mutual acoustic line in form of an arc with effective radius R and the incursion of phase or propagation time of the elastic wave is measured. The Sanyak phase incursion difference for counter-propagating acoustic waves will be proportional to the projection of absolute angular velocity on the axis of sensitivity and the sign determines the sign of the measured angular velocity. The acousto-electronic gyroscope consists of a mutual acoustic line in form of an arc with radius R, two identical acoustic wave transceivers at the ends of the acoustic line, as well as a signal generation and processing unit whose inputs are connected to inputs of the acoustic wave transceivers and the output of the said unit is in form of a digital bus, the code at the output of which is proportional to the rate of angle increase in inertial space during measurement.
EFFECT: invention increases measurement accuracy.
