FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: thermal imaging method for determining turbulence of hot gas flow by measuring temperature field is characterised by the fact that temperature measurement is performed by means of thermal imaging device, thus obtaining thermal imaging thermal videogram of hot gas flow against process surface; after that subsequent change of temperature is found in n number of frames taken from thermal imaging film at each check pixel by which there determined is dispersion of temperature change as per the above frames for each check pixel, set is threshold dispersion value, compared is temperature dispersion value at each check pixel with threshold level, and as per comparison results check pixels are determined, which belong to flame area and as per dispersion value at which there judged is turbulence and gas flow structure.

EFFECT: fuel economy, increasing efficiency of production processes in power industry and reducing hazardous emissions to environment.
