FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: chronograph clock mechanism has a control lever actuated by a first control element for alternate on and off switching of measurement time, as well as connection apparatus for on and off switching of the seconds timer drive in response to a force applied to the control lever, and selective locking apparatus for locking the seconds timer in response to a force applied to the control lever, a lever and a hammer for resetting the seconds timer to zero. The clock mechanism is also fitted with a structure which enables activation of time measurement by delaying movement of the seconds timer until an external resetting device which controls the lever is freed in its rest position.
EFFECT: more accurate on and off switching of time measurement by the user.
