FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises subjecting threaded joint to testing after locking the bolt. Bolt is axially loaded. Controlled parametre magnitude corresponding to tightening force in loading the bolt with full operating load is recorded. Tightening the threaded joint is performed to aforesaid controlled magnitude. Tightening force in testing is controlled by radial deformation of nut from threaded joint lot grab samples, said nut being locked by means of radial strain gage. Tightening next threaded joint of said lot is performed to nut radial deformation equal to that obtained in above described testing. Axial loading and axial load measuring device represents tension testing machine. Radial strain gage is mounted during tests and assembly of threaded joint nearby nut thrust face.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of control in axial loading of nut.
