FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition and a method of applying said composition onto glass and ceramic containers used in food and beverage industry. The method of coating a ceramic substrate with a coloured composition involves application of at least one organic binder capable of hardening with at least one pigment onto at least part of the substrate; application of an essentially transparent composition containing an organic binder capable of hardening an subsequent hardening of both binders. The coloured and transparent compositions can be applied in any order. The coating which is applied first also includes several separation particles which are solid at application temperature and melt at temperature which is equal to or lower than hardening temperature of the binders.
EFFECT: obtaining multi-colour drawings which give a good decorative effect and resistant to harsh environments.
