FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: when measuring magnetisation of a liquid substance in a constant magnetic field through a ballistic method using two identical anti-parallel connected measuring windings, said measuring windings are connected in series to an additional compensation winding whose plane can turn about the direction of the field intensity. The measuring windings are placed in empty capsules. Through pulsed change of the external magnetic field to the opposite by turning the compensation winding, a zero value of the resultant signal of all three windings is achieved, after which one of the capsules is filled with the analysed liquid substance through filler holes in the absence of the field. Also through pulsed change of the external magnetic field to the opposite, the change in flux linkage of the windings is determined, from which magnetisation of the liquid substance is determined for the selected field intensity value. Said method and device enable measurement of magnetisation of a liquid substance in high intensity fields created by closed core magnetising devices and significantly increase measurement accuracy.
EFFECT: more accurate measurement of magnetisation of a liquid substance, especially in strong fields.
