SUBSTANCE: method for protecting a metallic ferromagnetic object from magnetometric detection, that comprises transferring the ferromagnetic material, from which the protected object is made into an alternating periodic magnetized state, includes mounting the elements of the magnetic system on the object surface on permanent magnets with alternating magnetization directions with a magnetic flux closing through the object body, that the intensity of the magnetic field produced by the elements of the magnetic system provides the magnetization of the structure material is, at least, 2-3 times higher than the value of the magnetization that arises in the material of the object from the action of an external magnetic field. The total magnetic moment of the installed magnetic system on permanent magnets is minimal for a given object design. The integral magnetic moment of the ferromagnetic object in the external magnetic field with the installed magnetic system is, at least, 3 times lower than the integral magnetic moment of the object without the installed magnetic system, regardless of the direction of the external magnetic field application. The external magnetic field is a geomagnetic field.
EFFECT: expanding the arsenal of technical means to protect the object from magnetometric detection by transferring the ferromagnetic material into a piecewise-continuous alternating periodic magnetized state.
