FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for decontamination of toxic gases and vapors. Adsorber housing 1 accommodates absorbent coal 2 and parallel-plate electrodes 3 and 4 secured on common buses 5 and 6. Said electrodes are made from carbon material. Dielectric shins 9 are arranged in the gaps between faces of electrodes 3 and 4 and busses 5 and 6. Inlet 7 and outlet 8 branch pipes are arranged so that gas flow vector lies in plane parallel with planes of plates 3 and 4.
EFFECT: high uniformity of sorbent coal heating, simplified design.
