FIELD: synthesis and processing of organic compounds; applicable in sorption separation of organic compounds from diluted aqueous solutions. SUBSTANCE: organic compounds are separated from diluted aqueous solutions by method of multiple conduction of sorption and desorption of these compounds with use of absorbent in form of carbonic material containing carbon black coated with layer of pyrocarbon having pore volume of 0.2-1.7 cu.cm/g, thickness of 100-10,000 with layer curvature radius of 100-10,000 . True density of such carrier is 1.8-2.1 g/cu.cm, roentgen density is 2.112- 2.236 g/cu.cm. Distribution of pores in carbon layer by sizes has one or two maxima in region of 40-2000 . Adsorbent is regenerated by superheated water steam at 120-200 C, or thermally by air flow at 100-500 C, or at low pressure.
