FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: bench for altitude-climatic tests of engines consists of turbo-chamber, of foundation whereon there is mounted tested engine, of hydraulic brake, rotor of which is coupled with shaft of tested engine, and of measurement system. Additionally, the bench consists of a power system in form of a carriage with release screws, whereon there is positioned the hydraulic brake closed with a thermal jacket. The brake and the jacket are placed inside the thermal altitude chamber. Also shafts are interconnected by means of a half-coupling with a spring facilitating coupling with the engines for testing left-hand and right-hand rotation of engine shafts. Inside the thermal sealed jacket there are arranged pressure and temperature sensors. With air blown inside, the jacket is hydraulically and thermo-sealed. There are also installed pipelines of water supply, withdrawal and drain and torque sensors with a rotation velocity sensor. Notably, the hydraulic brake is connected with a controller installed outside the thermal altitude chamber. The controller is coupled with the hydraulic brake via inlet and outlet power modules. The hydraulic brake is equipped with a controlled automatic system for regulation of electric taps of water supply and drain.
EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of torque and number of revolutions measurement of tested turboprop and turbo shaft engines in stationary and transition modes under various imitated conditions due to reduced level of disturbance, when hydraulic brake is installed inside thermal altitude chamber.
