FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining fraction of heat energy consumed by an individual consumer when heating an apartment building with a two-pipe heating system involves determination of heat consumed by the consumer in a given time interval and total amount of heat consumed by all consumers during the same time interval. According to the invention, consumption of heat carrier by a consumer in a given time interval is measured; temperature of the heat carrier in the delivery pipe is measured and the average temperature of the heat carrier for the given time interval is calculated; air temperature in the apartment of the consumer is measured and the average air temperature for the given time interval is calculated; and heat consumed by the consumer in the given time interval is determined based on the obtained values. The invention also discloses a heating system for realising said method.

EFFECT: higher reliability of apparatus for calculating consumed heat, easier mounting of the apparatus and reduced expenses.
