FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for diagnosing the limiting state and early warning on the risk of breakage of materials and articles has an acoustic-emission diagnosis system, wherein zones of the structure with the greatest load are fitted with sets of fragile strain indicators tuned to a given level of threshold deformation which is less or equal to the maximum allowable for safe use of the structure.

EFFECT: high degree of reliability of diagnosing the limiting state of materials and articles with subsequent warning on the risk of breakage of materials and articles.
