FIELD: data processing; fault detection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of technical vision systems for investigating deformations and stresses using brittle strain-sensitive coatings using a vision system. Method of investigating deformations and stresses by means of a vision method consists of a program part and a hardware part, represented by a PC and a smart camera, which is installed above the surface of the analyzed object, on which a layer of brittle strain-sensitive coating is applied, program part is presented by virtual instrument, which consists of six units, four of which are responsible for digital processing of captured image, and two isoentatics remaining for constructing and calculating voltages corresponding to constructed isoentatics. At that, the vision system connects the ends of the cracks with each other by the method of searching for paired boundaries, performing the crack pattern recording, and also processes the obtained data and displays the result on the PC monitor screen, calculating the voltage for each isoentatics.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of investigating deformations and stresses using technical vision.
