FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electrical ignition circuit of a gas-discharge lamp is provided with a power circuit for ac voltage supply to the lamp (3). An electrical ignition circuit (1) according to the invention contains an ignition transformer (20) connected from a primary side with a trigger (2), and from a secondary side with the lamp (3) for transferring an ignition pulse thereto, the first commutator (40) of the trigger, as well as a control unit to manage the first commutator (40). The electrical ignition circuit (1) according to the invention is characterised by the fact that the ignition process is maintained by an energy storage device (10), particularly a voltage source managed by the control unit, series connected in the power circuit to the gas-discharge lamp (3) and managed by the control unit. The managed energy storage device (10) is used for supplementary power supply during ignition, and actual ac supply of the lamp (3) besides.
EFFECT: higher ignition reliability of the gas-discharge lamp.
