SUBSTANCE: device and method are proposed for sealing, in particular multicolour sealing, of containers, at least at one external surface by an imprint formed by at least one printed pattern with application of at least one printing device, with at least two printing heads operating according to jet principle to create partial printed patterns of a printed pattern applied onto external surface of containers, at least in a single printing stage, and also with application of a transport element, with which the containers move in transport direction in process of sealing, besides printing sets at least at one phase of at least one printing stage move together with the transport element.
EFFECT: invention provides for the possibility to seal containers by an imprint of high quality with high efficiency.
