FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: gravitational gamma spectrometre for experiments which require the highest resolution, which uses gamma-radiation of the 109mRh isomer passing through a multi-slit collimator from a rhodium metal source which contains atoms of the 103Pd parent nuclide, or is exposed to deceleration radiation of electrons, wherein the position and width of gamma-resonance is determined from the relationship between the detected intensity of gamma-radiation passing through the collimator and the angle of inclination of slits of the collimator relative the horizontal plane.
EFFECT: design of a compact gamma-spectrometre with the highest achievable resolution, working at room temperature.
