FIELD: training.
SUBSTANCE: in process of teaching a set of cards is used with mnemonic images of easily recognisable sources of sounds production applied on them. Images reflect normative phonetic properties of both sounds and letters of the Russian language. Letters are not available on cards. To indicate functional softness of sounds, cards are arranged with compatible ledges and slots. Cards with images that reflect permanent properties of the Russian language sound that are most significant for teaching are marked with conventional symbols, which serve to differentiate phonetic properties of sounds and letters fixed in the language, such as vowel properties, hardness, palatalisation, yotisation. Ordered cards coupled with ledges and slots in accordance with order of sounds or letters of a word visually demonstrate meanings and correlation of phonetic criteria of the word for its analysis, recording and reading.
EFFECT: improved visualisation of studied material, development of creative and associative thinking skills, acquiring skills of literate writing and reading.
