FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for distribution of application server by SIP protocol for subscriber in IP-multimedia subsystem. Method includes identification of a set of provided criteria of initial filtration for subscriber at home subscriber server, besides set of initial filtration criteria contains at least one common identifier of application servers by SIP protocol. Specified set of initial filtration criteria is sent from home subscriber server to service function of control by call/session distributed for subscriber, and is received in service function of call/session control. Common identifier of application servers by SIP protocol is converted into multiple addresses of application servers, besides one of specified addresses is distributed for subscriber to use when providing the service to the specified subscriber. Distributed address is cached in service function of call/session control for subscriber with the purpose of subsequent use.

EFFECT: provision of flexibility in process of session initialisation protocol applications server distribution for subscriber, namely in case, when this server of applications becomes unavailable or is not able to provide the desired service, service function of call-session control may simply distribute the new applications server for this subscriber.
