METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF KERATITIS AND KERATOCONJUNCTIVITIS IN SMALL ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61D99/00

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of veterinary science, in particular - to ophthalmology. Method consists in the fact that physiotherapeutic procedures are executed by ZooDENS device with external electrodes. At the same time, using bifurcated flat flexible external electrode, dynamic electroneurostimulation (DENS) is applied to eye-bulbs through closed superior eyelids and napkins soaked in physiological solution. Then after exposure of eye bulbs to the procedure, bifurcated flat flexible external electrodes are placed in animal ears, and DENS procedure is applied to inner surface of auricles through napkins soaked in physiological solution. Besides procedures are carried out for 10-14 days, 1 procedure per day. Duration of procedure at zone of exposure makes 5-10 minutes. Prior to DENS procedure, animal eyes are cleaned with chamomile decoction.

EFFECT: method is highly efficient, reduces duration of animals recovery, diminishes toxic and stress load at animal organism.
