FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for producing welded structures in ship building, aerospace engineering and other industries to joint sheets of envelopment with lengthwise and crosswise intersecting ribs. Sheet envelopment is secured in rigid frame all over its edges. Crosswire ribs are arranged between two backing supports and clamped there between. They are jointed to envelopment and ribbed panel is welded. Slots are cut in welded ribs, along convex curves on both sides of the panel lengthwise axis, for lengthwise ribs to be fitted therein. Lengthwise ribs are fitted between backing supports, curved and inserted into crosswise ribs slots. Both ribs are clamped in backing supports to straighten them and prestress the panel structure, and welded to envelopment.
EFFECT: geometrical integrity and stability of sizes of welded structures without using complex and cost intensive equipment.
