FIELD: welding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser welding finned panels. Prepared panel is installed and fixed on the support surface, the rib is placed on it and fixed by means of a fixing pressure device and the rib and panel are welded with a laser beam. Rib and panel are welded simultaneously by two laser beams from both sides, at that directing beams to joint point of panel and rib at identical angles making 5–60 degrees relative to plane of panel, and creating common welding bath arc-shaped shape. Fixation of the rib is performed during welding synchronously with movement of welding laser heads. Device for laser welding of finned panels comprises fixing hold down device and welding laser heads fixed on common bracket with possibility of movement along plane of contact of rib and panel. Fixing clamping device is made in the form of a roller with a groove on the end face. Two welding laser heads are located opposite to each other, symmetrically relative to plane of contact of rib and panel. In another embodiment, the device for laser welding of finned panels contains a fixing hold-down device in the form of a rigid massive longitudinal beam having the shape of a double tee having a wall in the form of an inverted trapezoid and a groove for fixing the rib in the lower flange. In upper shelf there are holes for bolt connection of beam and welding table, and bracket, on which there are two welding laser heads located opposite to each other, symmetrically relative to groove in lower flange of beam.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, minimization of welding deformations, possibility of curvilinear ribs welding and use of dissimilar panel and rib materials.
