FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: it involves the determination of glutathione peroxidase concentration and herpes virus antibody titre by the enzyme immunoassay in the peripheral blood in pregnant women suffered from a herpes virus infection episode. If glutathione peroxidase concentration is 7.05+0.19 U/g Hb, herpes virus antibody titre in the peripheral blood of a pregnant woman is 1:6400. When increasing antibody titre to 1:12800, glutathione peroxidase concentration in erythrocytes is decreased to 5.81±0.13 U/g Hb.
EFFECT: use of the method allows determining glutathione peroxidase concentration in erythrocytes in the women in childbirth suffered from a herpes virus infection episode in the third trimester of pregnancy.
