FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: information on directivity of position finder antennae is used to measure the distribution of level of transmitter radio radiation to the area. After received radio signals are multiplied and normalised, spatial spectrum of signals is determined considering the values of antenna directivity diagrams in direction of possible location of transmitter (coordinates of constituents of spatial spectrum). Weight coefficients are determined from the condition of provided unbiased estimate of transmitter power with maximum of spatial spectrum in transmitter direction.

EFFECT: less time is required and accuracy of determining the location of transmitter is improved, and interference immunity is improved.
