FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in multichannel monopulse detectors-direction finders of radio monitoring systems for determining coordinates of ground and air radio sources (RS), including those placed on unmanned aerial vehicles. Disclosed method is based on determining the global maximum of the decision function of the method for adaptive determination of coordinates — coordinate relief, within an elliptical confidence region containing true coordinates of RS. Method is adaptive to levels of received signals, parameters of mutual arrangement of detectors-direction finders and RS, orientation of the antenna system of direction finders in space, as well as a priori unknown in real conditions of measurement errors of bearings on RS and intensity of additive Gaussian noise. Method allows to overcome a priori uncertainty, to provide for increased accuracy of determination of coordinates of RS and reliability of detection of priority objects of radio suppression in conditions of saturated electromagnetic environment.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of determining coordinates of radio-frequency sources from results of their multiposition direction finding in conditions of a priori uncertainty relative to values of direction-finding errors.
