SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hairclips. The invention purpose is a modification of a hairclip in order to reduce its size. A hairclip contains two flaps (1, 3) equipped with teeth (5, 7) located at the front of a hairclip. The said flaps are mounted with the ability to rotate relative to each other around the two joints (8-12) of the flaps connected with the flaps and located along the same axial direction (A) in the back of the clip, from a closed position where the teeth (5, 7 ) are brought together or even overlap in order to clamp the hair trapped between the teeth and the inner wall (10, 30) of each flap in the open position where the teeth (5, 7) are separated sideways with efforts to overcome caused by deformation of the elastic return means (13) which seeks to return flaps (1, 3) into the closed position. The device according to the invention comprises a base plate (17) which is designed to accommodate, for example jewelry, and two claws (19-22), which support the base plate (17) above the two flaps (1, 3) in the closed position. According to the invention, the two claws (19-22) are connected with two flaps (1, 3) in front of the axial direction (A) in the closed position to cause a rise of support plate (17) towards the axial direction (A) when moving back when the two flaps (1, 3) rotate from the closed position to the open position.

EFFECT: reducing the size of a clip of this type for facilitating handling by the user.
