SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and medical technology and is intended for oral hygiene. Electric toothbrush contains a handle embodying the shaft; the drive located inside the said handle and made with the possibility of vibration of the said shaft along and/or around its axis; the brush head connected with the said shaft; a contact electrode located on the outer peripheral surface of the said handle for contact with the user's hand; a brush electrode mounted in the said brush head; and electric power supply made with the possibility of creating a voltage difference between the said contact electrode and the said brush electrode. The said shaft is electrically conductive and is connected by elongating electrically conducting connection with the conductive element connected to one of the poles of the said electrical power supply. The said conductive connection is attached at one of its end to the said shaft, and at the other end to the said conductive element placed at the specified position within the said handle.
