FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention belongs to medicine, notably to neurology, neuropsychology and defectology. First goes complex of physical exercises, including homolateral and heterolateral movement and torsion exercises. Exercises are performed in succession which involves higher and higher ranges of nervous system; first go homolateral movements of limbs, then heterolateral ones - at the beginning without crossing of body's median line, then crossing it, farther are performed torsion exercises. Performing movements and exercises children hold in hands flags of different colours, marking left and right sides of body. Instructor is standing with his face to children and holds flags mirrored to children. Homolateral movements are performed in groups of 3-4 children. Heterolateral exercises are started in lying flat on the back position, then in sitting and standing positions. In children with coordinatory disturbance heterolateral and torsion exercises are performed with back support during 3-4 initial lessons.
EFFECT: method broadens the range of central nervous system stimulations means in children with mental retardation.
