FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine and veterinary, namely to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, in particular to psychotropic medications. Invention represents pharmaceutical composition, which contains mixture of zolpidem and β-cyclodextrin solutions in dimethyl sulfoxide with molar ratio of components from 1:1 to 10:1 with the following final concentration of components in composition based on 0.9% sodium chloride solution: zolpidem 1×10-4 M, β-cyclodextin - from 1×10-5 to 1×10-4 M, dimethyl sulfoxide - 10%. Invention can be used for optimisation of adaptive capacities in extreme situations; for treatment of insomnia; correction of anxiety disorders, neuroses, increased nervous excitability or depression; treatment of somatic diseases, accompanied by sleep disorders (syndrome of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea, cardio-vascular and nervous system diseases); optimisation of "sleep-wake" cycle in stress situations.
EFFECT: invention possesses sedative, nootropic and anxiolytic action, without causing side effects in form of myorelaxation and inhibition of actibating systems of brain stem, characteristic of sedative medications with anxiolytic activity.
