FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in that, prior to feeding fuel into ICE, fuel is heated to the temperature corresponding to complete evaporation of the given type of fuel in ambient air via waste gas heat transfer in heater. Besides fuel pressure and temperature in heater upstream of the nozzles are controlled. If any of said parametres exceeds preset magnitudes, heated fuel is forced into fuel tank via overheat valve-transducer. Proposed device comprises fuel system made up of fuel tank with intake filter (filtration element), fuel pump with mechanical or electric drive, high-pressure fuel pump and nozzles. Fuel heater is made up of main pipeline with inlet and outlet threaded hole and discharge main pipeline (pipelines) with outlet threaded hole (holes) made in outlet manifold wall to form discharge manifold that acts as a ramp. Fuel inlet line union is connected to inlet threaded hole. Outlet threaded hole of central fuel pipeline receives overheat valve-transducer screwed therein and communicated with fuel tank. Discharge threaded holes are connected, via unions with pipes, with fuel injection devices. In compliance with another version, proposed device comprises additional fuel heaters arranged inside fuel tank and representing thermoelectric heaters rated at (12)24/(110)220 V supplied by onboard circuit in motion and by industrial circuit at stops via fuel heating control unit with temperature pickup.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
