FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: disk stock for formation of lining is made of initial cylindrical stock by at least double pressure action. Intermediate annealing at the temperature of 430…470°C is carried out between deformations. Not later than 24 hours after final deformation, disk stock is exposed to stabilised annealing with subsequent cooling in water down to normal temperature and further rolled to produce lining.
EFFECT: improved piercing power of jet charge due to provision of more even microstructure of metal and elimination of coarse grain in centre of lining.
