FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: disc workpiece with metal microstructure, which is in deformed state, is obtained from initial cylindrical copper workpiece by copper billet at least in two stages. At least after the first deposition, excluding final deposition, recrystallisation annealing of disc workpiece is performed. The above workpiece is mechanically processed as to its thickness and diameter. Then, it is rolled on taper holder so that workpiece in the form of hollow cone is obtained. The obtained workpiece is annealed and grain value is controlled in cross section along the generatrix of conical surface. Then, workpiece in the form of hollow cone is calibrated on inner surface and tempered in order to relieve inner stresses. Then, mechanical processing on outer surface is performed till the specified sizes of lining of cumulative charge.
EFFECT: obtaining copper linings with small-grain and homogeneous structure and sufficient high ductility, which allows increasing armour penetrating ability of cumulative charges.
