FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a cylindrical housing in which there is piston mounted on a rod, a piston fixing device, a support, a drive for accelerating the piston, having a high pressure source and a pneumatic chamber, a braking device and the test article. The device is also fitted with a thrust bushing mounted on one end of the rod between the piston and the fixing device and interacts with the piston through a spring. The article is attached to the other end of the rod. The support can interact with the piston and the pneumatic chamber is formed by inner walls of the housing and the piston.
EFFECT: simple design of the stand and more accurate reproduction of parametres of natural impact loads of the test article.
