FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multilayer microporous polyolefin membrane and storage battery made thereof. Proposed membrane consists of at least three layers. First microporous layers are made from polyethylene resin to make at least two surface layers and at least one second microporous layer containing polyethylene resin and polypropylene and arranged between said both surface layers. Polypropylene heat of transition (ΔH_m) measured by differential scanning calorimetry makes 90 kJ/g, or higher. Polypropylene content in second microporous layer makes 50 wt % per 100% of total weight of polyethylene resin and polypropylene.

EFFECT: well-balanced characteristics of melting and cutting-off, good forming property of film and separator.
