FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multilayer microporous polyethylene membrane, method of production, storage battery separator made thereof and storage battery with said separator. Proposed membrane comprises first microporous layer and second microporous layer. First microporous layer is made from polyethylene resin that makes a mix of ultrahigh molecular weight with bulk mean weight of Mw from 1×106 to 15×106 and high-density polyethylene. Second microporous layer comprises phase of polyethylene resin and fine particles made from heat-resistant resin other than polypropylene, and dispersed in phase of polyethylene resin. Heat-resistant resin feature fusion temperature or vitrification temperature varying from 180 to 260°C. Second microporous layer has pores formed in decomposition of polyethylene resin fibers wherein said fine particles are located.
EFFECT: multilayer microporous polyethylene membrane with well-balanced mechanical properties.
