FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat-engineering, metallurgical and chemical industries. It can be used for obtaining generator gas from solid carbon-containing fuel. According to invention, ammonia is added to gasifying agent in the quality providing formation of nitrogen oxides in combustion zone, which interact in upper fuel layers together with nitrogen oxides of combustion products with ammonia released at thermal decomposition of fuel without access of oxygen. The formed generator gas is removed from gas generator and subject to being cleaned from mechanical carryover and sulphur oxides.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing NOx formation due to reduction of ammonia content in generator gas without required development of special combustion chamber.
