FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ferrous metallurgy and can be used for melting iron and ferroalloys in blast furnace. The blast furnace consists of a hearth, a bosh, a belly, a stack and a throat. A heat mode in the furnace is maintained with radiation of lasers secured to a jacket of the furnace in an upper part of the hearth and on the throat of the blast furnace.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of coke and reduced capital expenditures for construction of air heaters, reduction of prime cost of cast iron and increased efficiency of furnace.
